Trip information
In Churchill, you can see polar bears in the snow for only 3 weeks a year – from the middle of October to the beginning of November. This town is on the migration route of the bears as they travel towards the frozen tundra. The bears head for seal hunting west of Hudson Bay as soon as the ice comes. Arctic foxes are everywhere, and sometimes you can spot wolves. Gulls, owls, and even eagles can be spotted by keen observers.
Marco Ronconi is a professional nature photographer focused on wildlife and landscapes of the Northern Hemisphere. His fine art prints have been exhibited in galleries, and his images have been featured in various magazines.
